My Story
Hi, My name is Dwight Franklin, MSOM, AP, AKA "The Brain Health Detective" and I am the founder of The Franklin Family Wellness Institute and The Extraordinary Brain Health Detective Agency.
My journey began with a deep fascination for the intricate connection between brain health and the health of every, single system of the body. This lead me to pursue a degree in Traditional Eastern Medicine and a specialization in Functional Medicine. In over 14 years of practice, I've come to understand that children facing challenges like ADHD and Autism often have complex, interconnected root causes that need a holistic approach.
I created "The Brain Health Detective" concept because I believe in the power of evidence-based solutions. Just like a detective gathers clues, I utilize comprehensive lab testing and detailed symptom analysis to uncover the "culprits" behind your child's struggles. These culprits could be genetic variations, neurotransmitter imbalances, poor lifestyle habits, immune system dysfunction, and nutritional deficiencies.
My mission is to empower families with personalized, natural solutions that address these root causes. At The Franklin Family Wellness Institute and The Extraordinary Brain Health Detective Agency, we teach parents and other healthcare providers how to use Functional Medicine and Eastern Medicine to unlock their child's brain potential.
My experience includes being a Professor at my alma mater, The Florida College of Integrative Medicine, and guest speaking at prestigious institutions like the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. I've also had the privilege of collaborating with pediatricians and psychiatrists, refining my approach to create comprehensive wellness programs for children with ADHD and Autism.
I understand the challenges you face as a parent. I'm here to provide not just solutions, but also support, guidance, and hope. Let's work together to solve your child's "case" and help them thrive.
